Igor Krutogolov - Muzika Elektronika [T'an ! kaven ! Ash! - 2006]Muzika Elektronika bangs and forces together jackhammer beat work, electro noise discharged, screwed up and corrupted melodic elements, and watery & rich ambient sound exploitation, that more often then not, becomes soured. Igor Krutogolov will be know by many for his work as part of both Agnivolok and chaos as a shelter and many other projects. But here he seems to step away from his familiar sounds into something quite different. Starting off with deeply angered , rapid and erratic take on Merzbow more electronic beat based material, then slowly but surely he adds more subtle melodic & ambient touches till we come to midway point of the album with the track white which is all out lush string ambient loop with shadows of noise corrosion at the sidelines. Before He once more turns up the intensity with the particular nasty breackcore via noise on red + Brown. And this is how the rest of the disk plays out- a crossbreeding of beat heavy noise to more subtle and lush elements, making an interesting and rewarding contrast of sounds, which you don’t quite know were it will go next. He also managed to breed into the material elements of demented advertising jingle and abused music box tunes, which fits nicely into the TV testcard cover concept. A different and rabid take on sound from a very versatile and talented musician. This was released on the noise/ experimental sub label of the eastern front. To find out more go directly to here.
