What can we expect from an album that was recorded and mixed in 6 days? A lot! Remember that Minutemen's Double Nickel was written and recorded in a very short period of time, so was Edge of Sanity's Crimson (written in 24 hours, recorded in 7 days) and also most of Neil Young's discography; musicians of all times and genres have opted for spontaneity for different reasons (lack of budget or simply too much coffee).

This album reminds me of the Descendents' Everything Sucks but minus the big choruses and songs about girls. What remains is a brand of rock & rolly hardcore punk with politically inclined, yet clever and funny, lyrics. The guitar playing is somewhat sloppy (in a good way) and it reminds me of some of the Butthole Surfers' material.

The songs are about "arming the homeless", waking up with "no thumbs nor tongue nor feet", meatballs that are "gonna drink your beer" and "get you laid", about a fat cop who takes a wrong turn on the wrong side of the tracks, punching your boss in the face, being "shitfaced drunk", big green teeth, crimson dildos, talking to an atomic mushroom, "Led fuckin' Zeppelin", not getting enough sleep and, finally, the band going swimming at South Miami Beach and Johnny nearly dying because of his pneumonia. I feel like the band is letting us participate in this big inside joke (like Mr. Bungle or Zimmers Hole) and I like it!

The production is surprisingly *clear* and fitting considering how much money it must've been realize on. It's raw and gives the feeling that the band is playing live in the studio (which is probably what happened) and it's exactly what this band needs since their energy and attitude gets across better that way.

One of the most enjoyable punk rock album I've heard in a while.
