Keiji Haino & KK Null - Mamono [Blossoming Noise - 2026]Mamono is a see-sewing caustic & kaleidoscopic journey into grinding electronics, twist and pull of wonky guitar bass muffle and fret noise, and precussive hiccup's. All toped with alarming vocal shouts, screams and oriental mayhem. KK Null and Keiji Haino have managed here to create a new form of noisy and bizarre chaos away from each others respective sound worlds. Each track is built around sour and seething electronics and vocal discharge/drama, flecked with twisted psychotic psychedelic air. It feels like dragging ones self though vast building clouds of electrified fog, with a demented oriental demon’s calls/sounds coming from every Connor. It has none of the sleek acid tinged sci-fi scapes of KK Null’s solo work, this is blurring & smouldering noise scapes of the highest grade, bouncing in it’s very being with sleazy undercurrents. Keiji Haino only utilising guitar on tow of the five tracks here , his guitar work as usual- the broken and abused cousins of the blues with funky bloody fringes. When not his guitar he mixes in his own coarse electronics to KK Nulls over boiling and plainly sinister electro shocks, and off beat percussive charring. A scalding and demented cross breed from tow of experimental music most fired up oriental brains. All packed in a nice letter pressed black card fold out sleeve and only ltd to a 1000, so really if you fan of either man's work or just enjoy tripped out noise madness- go get. Roger Batty
