Bejar/Iversen - Days of Thunder [At War With False Noise - 2007]Days of thunder offers up just over half-an-hour of sawing and chair rocking guitar noise and electronic craft, with detours into more stale sweat ambient hazes and grimy folds of sounds. It’s a recording taken from a live set from last summer in Oslo, where The duo were joined by improv guitarist and Enlightenment records founder Lars Myrvoll. Really coming off like noisy improvised music crossed with grey monolithic drone craft with a down cast doomy and ominous air ringing through out. At about the half way point, when heavy guitar clouds have built up there some nice touches of sour and sharp electro pitches, giving it almost an ramshackle cinematic edge, sadly some of the atmosphere is ruined somewhat by random rather tinny radio like noise.Towards the end it dips down into a sort of random /rudimentary baked western desert guitar picking. An adequate excise in guitar noise craft that drifts towards atmosphere drone craft here and there, with enough worthwild.
