TFT - Untitled [TTM Incisioni Musicali - 2009]Italian Harsh Noise Wall project TFT have quite a different & unique take on making walls of noise. Instead of dwelling on the more analogue, murky & often deep tones of most of the genre they instead homing on more piercing, clean, precise & digital take on wall noise making. This untitled CDR is the projects first release; and as with the sonics inside the package follows a sleek, clean & technology bound feel with a perfect white disc inside a white DVD case with just a simply picture of the back of someones head pressing an earphone to their ear. The disc is made up of four untitled 19 minute tracks; with the first track being built around a drilling laser like high & piercing tone & a lower after drill type tone. It feels like your having either your tooth drilled or a laser beam constantly running through your head; yet for all it’s drilling & high tone it’s still rather hypnotic & satisfying in it’s clean, white & burning feel. Track two slips down a tone to a lower high pitch with more deeper after drill tones after it- this track feels more like your head been polished & buffed by a constant spinning electronic wheel. You can almost smell that slight burning electronic/ new smell ; thatyou get when you get a new piece of kit. Track three homes in on a more soldering & slowed electro burning tone with nice crackling wire like static purring after burns. Track four is the most nasty sounding & thick of the four tracks it focus in on this caustic, scouring & mettlic revolving tone which really drills into your head in a most effective & almost trance inducing fashion. So all in all a rather rewarding, precise & techno high take on the HNW genre that keeps your attention through-out it’s just shy of 80 minute runtime & leaves your ears nicely ringing after it’s finshed.
