HCV - Agape [self release - 2011]HCV is the new brutal, dark & seemingly ghost /paranormal themed HNW project of long term USA scenester J Cadle(Foul, ...Massacre, White Torture, I Spit On Your Grave, ect). Helping J create the huge swirling ‘n’ searing walls of noise on offer here is his current partner/girl-friend Amy Smith. “Agape” is a just under 50 minute track, and it comes in the form of a free digital download direct from Mr Cadle himself. The track starts out with around 30 seconds of this weird, ghostly and horror bound mixture of wavering synth sustain & morphed ‘n’ creepy little girl vocalising. Then the ‘wall’ sudden collapses down on you like an brutal & all encompassing sonic landside- the ‘wall’ is a rapid ‘n’ full mixture of caustic bound swirls ‘n’ shakings, which are back lit by buried & constantly descending seared textural noise drone trails. All told it’s a nicely nasty ‘n’ active slice of HNW which stays relatively firm in it’s structure through out it’s near on hour run time; from time to time there’s seemingly some slight shifting with in the tracks texturally layers, but it never does anything too shifting. As a rule we don’t usually cover digital downloads or net release on M[M], as we like to review fully packaged physical releases, but as we’ve been long time fans of Mr Cadle's projects we felt we had to review this. All told it’s another nicely brutal, dark & world numbing slab of walled noise from Mr Cadle, for those who’d like to download this head over to discogs here where you find a download link.
