Enbilulugugal - The Day After [Dipsomaniac Records/ Glossolalia Records - 2014]Here we have a pro CDR reissue of Enbilulugugal’s 2013 full length- the project creates an overloaded, messy & mangled mixture of black metal & noise. And this album offers up just of an hour of grim yet slightly tongue-in-cheek blacked & noisy chaos. The pro CDR comes in a dvd case, that takes in grim skull ridden & after the bomb artwork( both on it’s cover & it’s single sheet inlay). The album takes in seventeen tracks in all, and these each run between just under a minute to seven minutes a piece. They mix together buzzing & blurred mix of wondering & loose black metal riffing, layers of searing noise matter, banks of screaming/ baying vocals, samples from the two films, and the odd hint of electro texturing( beats or other wise). None of the tracks really seem to have much of a structure or shape about them, and the only thing that breaks the overloaded chaos, is the film samples, which take in both dialogue & sounds suffering from the two films- but even these are stretched & effected. The Day After is a searing, deranged & overloaded attack on ones sonic sensors- so if you enjoy loose yet clamouring blacked metal mixed & engulfed with noise matter head over to here, where you can hear samples & purchase it.
