Vilgoć - Eliminate The Target [L White - 2015]Vilgoć is a Polish wall noise project who has sporadically(by scene standards), putting out releases since 2007. This CD on Germans L-White, offers up a single slice of dense & brutalizing wall-craft. The release comes in the form of a labelled & pro-pressed CD, which comes in a white slim line DVD case. This white, red, grey & black artwork taking in a picture of Russian president Vladimir Putin- with his eyes blocked out on the front cover. And a lo-fi picture of noise set-up & a pair of feet on the back. It comes in a very scene generous 100 copies- so there is a very good chance you’ll be able to get hold a copy of this. I think the last time I'd heard anything from this project was back in 2013, when they did a split with Kansas City based wall project Abyzm, and I did rather enjoy the intense-ness of their track on that release. So I’m happy to report that the self titled forty five minute track on offer here is another rewardingly overloading, intense & head crushing ‘wall’ . It’s built around a fairly simple blend of the following elements: a rushing ‘n’ grinding bass judder, A galloping yet wiry noise mass jitter, and a selection of shifting sub-tones, that take in subtle shredding, rattles, and tight tears. The whole thing has a nice bothersome & crushing appealing-ness about it- sure it’s not very original or fresh, but as a mid range length ‘walls’ it’s most effective in it’s unstopped-able rage. It’s great to see none ‘wall-noise’ labels like L White putting out HNW release, as this type of thing helps spread the genres sound to more new people. All in all Eliminate The Target is a worthy release from Vilgoć, and I hope it’s not as long till until I hear some more work from them. Roger Batty
