Dj Klock - San [Clockwise - 2006]Dj klock's third album comes across like as a wonderfully playful, audio colouring book. Rich with head nodding beat work, jazzy work outs, mellow instrumental twist and child like melodies, that taste so sweet. Along with ome clever sound manipulation. Each track feels like its own little adventure, that covers different ground from the last. High with a cute air, that you’ll either love or hate, for my part I find it an enjoyable little muilt colour trip over the rainbow and back again. Klock also has quite a few guests on the album, which gives a nice feeling of variation; on Los Valadores we have Spanish raping(from timeporahas) with a few choice English words, over bounce around your head beats, a funky slight of hands. On Orange Woods, Leading Rounds- we have mellow chanting like singing from Manima and ohh and ahh’s, over vibes child bounce and chilled beat scape. A few of my favourites are : Sol De Ede C- with it’s ride round the room beat, and repetitive piano sample, and little waltzes of vocal acrobatics. Return Of MPC Freak is major cute-see territory, but very clever executed with baby gurgling, mixed in with noise elements and click and nod beat Patten, simply a great track, almost feels like Perrey and Kingsley reborn in more modern beat threads So all in all a rewarding 70 mins, that keeps your always surprised, be it captivated by clever sound manipulation, or having you head slowly nod, or smiling stupidly at its sugar sweetness.
