Sudden Infant - Radiorgasm [Blossoming noise - 2006]Radiorgasm is a reissue of sudden infants dada & suffocating take on noise, original released in ltd no 323 vinyl format. Here for the first time for all to go slowly mad to, taken direct from the original master tapes. All the hall marks of sudden infants sound is already fully formed: dizzy brain melting noise, odd environmental sounds and strange ambience, gurgling, chocking and other body sounds. And all manner of other strange stuff, that is grantee to really mess you head up and no doubt utter the odd dark chuckle. The album is split into two tracks lasting twenty minutes a piece, and really from the start you know to expect the unexpected and have a large drink or smoke near by ( or what ever is calming) to help you through the truly derange parts. Track one starts with a dripping tap sound that is soon added to by a strange stretching ballooning sound and a comic / freaky voice mumbling “destruct everything”. As the track goes on there manner of grumbled foreign voice, sadistic sound burns, that echos a comic odd air. Later on a gone wrong clockwork sound or the sound of someone doing strange exercisers in metal leg braces, replaces the water sound. The audio picture seems to get denser all manner of frightening and funny stuff is throw your way, like been buried under the house contents of a rather smelly, large and psychotic clown. It almost becomes too much at when the sound of different kinds and levels of human breathing sound is mixed together, it really does become most disorientating, you feel like you could almost hyper ventilating. The second track follows in a similar manner , though more noisy instead of sneak up on you it just throws you to the floor hammer you with all manner of crazy, scary and funny sounds and noises. The jewel case is presented inside a nice cardboard slip case with pictures of the original masters; inside you find the creepy deformed infant face collage. Really satisfying insane stuff, which should be approached with a clear and balanced mind, because it won’t be by the end of this. Roger Batty
