+Dog+ - A Grisly Tablea of Carnage [Harsh Noise - 2007]+Dog+ make a lo-fi grimy and murky take on noise, that seems to hum and burn of cities sound discharged, All the sound elements are muddy together, runing like cold grey vomit down the audio canvas. +Dog+ formed in 1991 Osaka Japan as a solo noise project of Steve Davis, this is projects 12 full length album along with many eps, etc. A Grisly Tablea of Carnage offers up 7 tracks in all lasting between 4 to 10 minutes apiece. Each track feels much like the last, starting with a sudden growl or explosion of sound. You'll find no subtle builds up of texture here, this is just crude unforgiving and painful like stinging neo buzz or slow airless smothering of engine fumes. The tracks also just suddenly end which in its own way is quite disorientating and effective. Each track is built around noisy tube tunnel rumble, grinding gear discharge, squealing train lines and far off machine thuds and murky unforgiving rubbles of aging machinery. The sound though out has this real feeling of suffocation, lack of air, been trapped in grey and unwelcoming light, pale features faces stream by and the feeling of been unsure of your own balance. Though not the most captivating of noise releases Ive come across it does have certain grey and exhaust blacked charm to it, that at time's almost has you coughing and splattering and inching your skin from the cites blacked discharge.
