Aarron Dilloway - Beggar Master [Hanson Records - 2006]Beggar Master is a useful reissue of Aarron Dilloway’s( Ex Wolf Eyes & Hanson records main man) first solo album. Original released in a vinyl only pressing of 300 back in 2005, here it is in all it’s seething unpleasant glory for all to enjoy. Recorded in Kirtpur, Nepal in March 2005. It’s a crude and bowel tundering take on noise, mixing together tape manipulations, feedback and grimy eastern touched field recordings of snake charmers, people banter etc. It’s split into two just over 15 minute tracks, that really dispose of any easy or accessible qualities that might have surfaced on Wolf Eyes last official full length with Dilloway album Burned mind. This is more for your seasoned noise addict, as it’s one hell of a vicious ride, each track slides into one audio slaughter, or sinister blood smelling cruel ambient dwell after another. Rhythmic patterns and repetition are present but they never stay long enough for you to get conformable with them. It goes from drill high pitched tones, to grey drifting banks of static, to eruptions of electronic chaos, to people noise turned in Slaughter house like sinister chattering, to grey and yellow ambient noise drift for the end times. Each track really changes and morphs a lot through it’s dammed life, which makes it pointless detailing the tracks minute by minute and of course that would spoil the brutal fun. A worthwhile first step into solo noisecaft which has led to Dilloway been recognised under his own name now. To hear samples and buy direct drop into this meat hook swinging webportal. Roger Batty
