Bonesfield - Gammacamera [Harsh Noise - 2007]This is Bonesfield's second release of harsh laser cutting electro noise meets elementally noise. Feeling something akin to if aliens attacked our planet and the environment chaos it would bring, i.e. hurricanes, land slides and burning /melting summers. This projects hails from Spain and it’s all the work of one person, & I have to say I found it quite a fresh take on the genre; he’s very much made his own harsh sound planet that goes from electro burps and Geiger counter counter overloads to precise brain searing laser cuts, to roaring and crash storms of sound. It also sounds very deliberate and clean sounding, though this is very harsh ear cooking canal stuff, it‘s clearly executed and recorded. His mangers to balance nicely the need for textural variation and progression, but at the same time returns to similar sound themes with-in each track. The track lengths of the seven tracks fall between three to seven minute mark, with each been consistent and skin flaying satisfying. Nearing forty mintues of noise all in All of the tracks except the last one are all Bonesfiel's own work- the last track Aip soundtrack is a collaboration with Scumearth, which pits Bonesfield's laser burn scorching against an looped and disturbing sample of a woman been beaten or pleasured ,ending the album on a sleazy and brutal note. An consistent, unforgiving and original album that certainly warrents some of your time if you enjoy high-level/ harsh noise cooking’s. Roger Batty
