Ghost - Death Radio [Breaching Static - 2012]" /> | "Death Radio” finds this often progressive French walled noise project offering up a slice of creepy & deeply oppressive ANW. This CDR release offers up a single dead-on 60 minute track. The ‘wall’ is made up of a constantly sustain organ like electro drone, a constant line of crackling yet slight muffled static, and a creaking electronic texture which slowly sways in ‘n’ out of the tracks background. And the track pretty much stays unmoving(except the shifts of the electro creacking texture)for it’s hours runtime. Since this project first started, and it last 12 or so release I’ve been a fan of pretty much ever thing this project has put out. As each release has always been put together with creative quality & atmospheric scope- be it progressive HNW, brutal walled noise, or inventive ANW. But I found myself really in two minds about this release- sometimes when I've played it I found it rather annoying, dragging and more than a little contrived, yet at other times I’ve found it both creepy & wonderfully oppressive in a slow head crushing way. So I’m not sure if it’s finding the right mood for the track, or it’s just not as rewarding as past Ghost work…this really is I guess a release you’ve just got to check out yourself & see how you feel about it.
