Rita - Thousands of dead Gods [Pacrec - 2006]Thousands of dead Gods is purely a buzzing static storm of noise, or a huge impregnable wall of pure head melting noise, that last for near on an hour then spits you out at the end. Apparently sourced from shark noises, by the end of this you’ll feel like you’ve been inside a vast shark’s digestive system, and then shot out the other end. Yes it’s simply noise, nothing more nothing less, and I have to say it’s damn appealing stuff. It just seem to push and push against you, what could have once been structural or sound element bubble up, like far away sounds, but soon are swallowed back up again. The other great thing about it is when your finished and peel off your head phones, is you listing space seems the most peaceful and quite place, no matter what’s going on in it, it will take a few minutes to reajust, a quick shake of the head, maybe blow your ears out. You feel like you’ve almost been on a deep sea drive, you can almost feel the pressure releasing from around your head. Simply put a wonderful devilish audio cooking. If you want plan and simply harsh noise with no fancy stuff, Thousands of dead Gods is the way to go. Roger Batty
