Ennaytch - Vacuum Cleaner Music For The Vermillion Vixen [Basement Corner Emission - 2025]Here’s a new four-track release from Tucson, Arizona’s Ennaytch- and as we’ve come to expect from the project, it’s another trip into interestingly/ creatively layered wall craft. The digital release appears on Portland’s basement corner Emissions. With a rather fantasy-focused cover art of women dressed in dark red finery, and surrounded by a Owl, and a mythical creature. The album can be found just here.
I first became aware of Ennaytch in 2022 and have followed/ largely enjoyed the project's work since then. This release features four around fifteen-minute tracks, each giving a slightly different twist on the wall form.
We go from “What Astaroth Commands, A Dutchess Defies”- here we find a constant thick spraying/ galloping mids, meeting a steady glitchy/twisting micro tone. Next is the set snapping industrial like teeth beat, meets bass purr/ hover of “Demon Set Aflame” which is a most apt title, as the track does conjure just that up.
Track three is entitled “Duke Unwise (Cerberus Makes Prey of Stolas)” and blends a distant slightly uneasy juddering purr, with a set subtone map of liquid rushing, snap ‘n’ chop, and hissing tones. Finally is “100 Legions of Demonic Demoisel“ which is a blend of many wing purr & distant throbbing/ uneasy- again another very apt title, as if you close your eyes when playing it, you can almost see a sky full of hovering creatures.
So all in all, Vacuum Cleaner Music For The Vermillion Vixen of Perdition Volume Two: Daemonium Batavica is another worthy/ consistent addition to Ennaytch Roger Batty
