Latex Choker - Sealed [Self release - 2024]Sealed in a thirty-five-minute shot of pelting, baying, and rapidly rolling HNW brutality from this French project- which focuses all of its work on fetish sexual practices, and dead/ decaying bodies This single-track affair is self-released- with the cover artwork showing a picture of a naked man wrapped in a large sheet of see-through plastic. The release can be found just here
Seemingly Latex Choker began life in the summer of 2022- and going from their bandcamp they have released sixteen releases to date, taking in splits as well as standalones.
The untitled track runs at the thirty-five-minute and forty-one-second mark. It’s a decidedly dense, rough & ready ‘wall’- where we find running together a constantly rolling tarry low end, descending shred, and rapid clutter ‘n’ pelt. The whole thing feels very weighty & suffocating in its attack, which is of course perfect for the theme of the release.
The whole thing does start to blur/ blend a little in places, meaning at points we do get a feeling of all-out whiteout. And the textures- when you can define them with any clarity, are not the most tooled or original things you’ll have heard. But I’d say if you are in the mood for a blunt, and dense battering Sealed will most certainly fit that need. And of course, it’s always nice to discover new walled noise project- as this is my first-time taster of Latex Choker work. Roger Batty
