Burial Hex - Menstrual Hoax [Cut Hands - 2008]Menstrual Hoax is a brutal and degrading meeting of sludgy, grey and nasty lo-fi rhythmic torture, electro noise drains, and musty discharge covered feedback- all sliding along at a infected slugs pace. Split into two twenty minute tracks with each been as suffocating, limb weighting as each another. Blood Stasis cracks open the albums infected skin in fine sleazy fashion built around airless, unwell, stuck and ill feedback drags, grey muffling drones, with dead flesh in slow motion against stainless steel rhythmic taps, bangs and slaps. It keeps feeling like it will fall apart all together and grind to a painful stop, but it just drags on and on like a half dead body leaving entrails and bodily fluid trail in it’s wake. Lastly we have you live parts one & two which is at a slightly higher pace to the first track to begin with- feeding out a collection of jaw agitated electro pluses, but soon it starts to drag and smear them selfs out, with a mix of weird horrifying layers of echoed, shouted and bent vocal hazes and chants. Along with searing and building feedback waves, high pitched whines/rips and guitar discharge and hum. A painful unforgiving sonic ride that after it’s had it's nasty way for you for it’s forty minute stretch leaves your head afloat with grotesque and melting images and feeling abused and unclean.
