Ïîòåðÿííàÿ Ãîðëà - Self Titled [Zvukovina - 2009]Ïîòåðÿííàÿ Ãîðëà (Lost Necks) is a brutal & brain roasting HNW collaboration between Sarajevo Neven Misaljevich(of Smrznik and one of the minds behind the excellent Zvukovina label) and Russian based Alexander Kibanov (from Äåíü Ðàñïëàòû, and many other projects and labels such as Mind Noise Disintegration). On offer here is a nearly thirty five minutes worth of thick, rolling and bleakly droning ‘walled’ noise. The pair thunder, hammer and boar out the persistent, greyed and complete hopeless ‘wall’ at you through-out the tracks lenght with zero let-up. I guess the best way to describe the ‘wall’ is as rumbling, thick and crusty metallic like in it’s feel- imagine rolling over and over at a fair rate down the side mountain in a thick steel tank and you get some idea of what to expect here. There’s really zero movement or textural shift here -it's just thickly and hopelessly batters away at you for it’s near -on thirty five minutes run-time. I’m not really sure what I think about this release as it’s so bleak, nihilistic and utterly hopeless through-out . I can certainly appreciate it on a purely torturous and masochistic level, but beyond that there’s nothing really moorish, trance inducing or addictive about the ‘wall’ on offer here…so it’s not something I can see my self returning to often, accept when I’m feeling very intensely self or world hating.
