Dead Body Collection - The Process [Sodoma Records - 2010]“The Process” fires into your listening space an unrelenting, thick, nasty and hope battering slice of HNW matter that hammers and rages against you for nearly 80 minutes of unbreakable sickly & caustic sonic mayhem. This is the seventh full length release to appear from this great & medically morbid obsessed Serbian based project, since it started just over a year ago. This releases concept/ theme is based around a extreme and life ending parasitic attack on a females body. It comes in a great grimy bloody red, black and white sleeve that features on the front a blood splattered picture of a women’s face and on the back a great gory & grim description of parasites attack. The 78 minute ‘wall’ starts out as it means to go on; overloading, intense, extremely thick and unforgiving. The ‘wall’ is a quite fast and endless rolling mixture of bass juddering noise ‘n’ caustic throb, that’s rolled out into a near unchanging form over ones sonic senses for the tracks gruelling and torturous length. the track nicely surrounds, suffocates and entombs you in it’s cruel, sinister and blood ‘n’ pus tripping thickness, not letting you up or easing off the rolling pressure until it ends near an hour & twenty mintues later This is another very worthwhile, grim and unforgiving ‘wall’ of body crushing sound thickness from the Dead Body Collection. This project is fast becoming one of the most prolific and consistent acts in European HNW scene. Roger Batty
