Sturmgeschütz, Gigant & Dead Body Collec - Untitled Collabration [No lable/ joint self release - 2010]This untitled two disc collaboration finds these three brutal ‘n’ bleak Serbian HNW acts blending their combined sounds together to create two hour tracks of truly unrelenting, ultra-nasty & tar-black walled noise. The two discs come in a double DVD case that features simply yet extremely fitting plan textured black card on the outside- there’s no printing or indication of who or whats involved here which takes the whole minimalistic packing to it’s most extreme & nihilistic zenith. The Cdrs are also black and feature I or II on each of the disks, again simple, grim yet effective. The first disc features an extreme thick, full and totally unforgiving wall of brutal and bleak HNW. It kicks straight in from the start being totally impenetrable and overwhelming, and not does let-up or easy off for it's hour runtime. The three really bound 'n' tie their already extreme sounds into a black and massive torrent of mid-paced noise. You can make out elements of static jittering ‘n’ juddering, roaring ‘n’ ripping bass noise and crunching ‘n’ battering noise, but it’s all focused into a solid and unmovable mass of sound so you can never really define any one element or tone- it’s just a pure overloaded maelstrom of blacked noise. The second disc is once more a very dense, overwhelming and unflinching mixture of the three parties’ sounds. Again it goes on for an hour, and again it’s a truly thick and batter maelstrom of blacked noise. This track I guess sounds a little more bass roaring ‘n’ juddering bound than the first one, but once again everything is all pushed ‘n’ smudged into a black nasty mess of extreme sound that totally and completly envelopes you in it’s nasty ‘n’ heavy mass. I guess there’s more shape ’n’ texture to this track compared with the first, but not much
So on offer here is two hours of extremely dense and punishing pitch black walled matter, which will please those who enjoy their noise matter thick, un-defined and unrelenting. Approach with caution as this really is some of the most nasty ‘n’ blacked noise your likely to have ever heard! Roger Batty
