I’ll have to admit I was a big fan of Mininel’s  first project TFT, but have found this newer project rather variable in quality. But I’m happy to report I’m very taken by the two untitled tracks on offer here.  First off it’s worth giving a mention to the great black and white cover picture of stacked up steel poles, which are either in a scrap yard or builders merchant- it’s a great bleak picture and it also hints at the nasty, weighty and constantly bombarding walls inside.

The first track comes in at ten minutes and fourteen seconds, and  it finds Mininel summoning up this great crusty, nasty and unrelenting wall of  mid-paced juddering walled matter. Around the main juddering and machine like texture are smaller hissing 'n'muffled semi tones, which add seared and blow-out detail to the main tone. The ‘wall’ remains mainly fixed and unforgiving in it’s just over ten minute runtime, and it nicely yet brutally keeps you attention through-out.

The second track comes in slightly longer at ten minutes and twenty three mark. This track once more finds Mininel summoning up another judder bound wall of noise, but this time it has quite a rapid and dense stream train like feel to the ‘wall’. The ‘wall’ also  seems thicker and more central tone focused than the first track too. Mininel rolls out the wall in such a great nasty, bleak and punishing form, yet it's also very trance inducing in it’s rapid chugging and steam bound reputation.

So this 3inch cdr offers up  two great yet nasty slices of machine bound noise making from this Italian project- well worth a look if you enjoy dense and extreme HNW.
