Nascitari - Simulacro [Toxic Industries/Irritant Series - 2011]Nascitari is an Italy HNW project who call their brand of noise ‘Black Static Funeral Noise Wall’ -which I think rather nice describes what’s on offer here. So if you dig tar black, very dense and total unforgiving walled noise please read on. “Simulacro” is seemingly the projects first full length release, and it offers up near on forty six minutes worth of total unrelenting and black-as-night HNW. The ‘wall’ is a huge and brutal mixture of hope sucking and bleack noise matter- I can make out juddering and crusty bass textures, rubbing and churning slomo noise billows, jittering and purring motorbike engine like sonic filth. Yet none of these elements really fully form or come to the front of the mix as this is just an endlessly ripping ‘n’ churning unholy maelstrom that never loosen or thins out it’s dark grip. “Simulacro” is a deeply nasty and total uncompromising slice of tar black walled noise- sure there’s nothing really new or mould breaking going on here, but if you enjoy getting total overwhelming and swallowing by noise this will certainly do the trick for you. So a promising opening shot, and I look forward to seeing how the project develops. Roger Batty
