RRR - Kind of Death [Nahàsh Atrym Productions - 2015]Here’s another brutal & straight-for-the-throat slice of ranging walled noise from this French project. The release comes in the form of a CDR, and offers up single track worth of crude ‘n’ battering wall-craft. The CDR comes in an A5 black & white sleeve, and this takes in a rather disturbing picture of what looks like dead children in a rundown playroom. And we get minimal texts on the back- taking in just the projects name, track title, and running time. The single track featured here comes in at the 49.52 mark, and is built around two main textures: a crude & blunt low-end judder/ worming texture, and a crisper & coarser spinning jitter. These elements are locking together in a raging & continual descent mesh, which just buzzers deeper & deeper into your head. As the track progresses we get slight adjustments to the ranging mass; for example the low-end becomes more meaty or dragged-out, and the jittering becomes more spiteful spinning in it’s attack. Yet the wall never fades or dulls back – it remains searing & intense to the bitter ‘n’ crude end While Kind Of Death doesn’t sound fresh or different texturally, and the lay-out of the wall it’s self is far from original- this is an appealing enough slab of ranging & brutalising wall craft that will be enjoyed by those who are after no-nonsense & intense HNW.
