Spinform - Bryter Tystnaden [Hobby Industries - 2006]Bryter Tystnaden was recorded in abandoned manor house in the Swedish countryside, as a result the sounds of the house have bleed into the recording. Spinform uses the house sounds as rthymic backing and atmospheric haze, for this dusty mix of electronica, haunted piano strains and muffled guitar strumming. Yppersta Utposten has the sound air of a spring down pour and crickets chanting, over which Spinform build's hazy streached piano cords and digital altered guitar colour. Making a track that is very comfy, in it’s bitter sweet melodic roaming. one can picture looking out through a grime smeared upstairs window , down on to an over grown court yard, watching the torrents of rain batter down the weeds. Det Fanns Ed Tid is all bangs and squeaks of wood work, that are weaved into a beat pattern, that hovers under swirling piano tinkling and church organ like boom. Soon the church organ/ eerier synthesizer, takes over the proceedings. The piano patterns doing small cord steps around the base. All in all enjoyable enough, but I would have enjoyed to have heard more of the houses sounds, mixed in a possible with a more varied sound pallet too. But if you enjoy time and weather worn electroinca, which ripples through with haunted sounding, hazy melodies, you could well enjoy this.
